Dr Felix Sim

Felix Sim is a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon after having completed both medical and dental degrees. He obtained his undergraduate dental qualification at the University of Sydney in 2001 and spent several years working in general dental practice and a further two years in the UK. In 2006, Felix commenced specialist training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2009 and specialist training in 2015, leading to the specialist qualification FRACDS(OMS). Following completion of his specialty training, he was selected to a two-year highly competitive sub-specialty training in head & neck oncology and microvascular reconstruction at the Head and Neck Institute in Portland, Oregon, USA.

Felix provides full scope care of oral and maxillofacial surgery which includes removal of third molars (wisdom teeth), complex extractions, orthodontic exposure of teeth, placement of dental and zygomatic implants, grafting procedures, orthognathic surgery and management of oral pathology and facial trauma. In particular, Felix has a special interest in oral, head and neck cancer and reconstructive surgery. Throughout his training and career, Felix continues to maintain a keen interest in research and has published articles in peer review journals and co-authored chapters in surgical textbooks.

Felix has public hospital appointments at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Monash Hospital and Geelong Hospital as part of the Head and Neck Multidisciplinary Units. Private hospital appointments include Wyndham Clinic Private Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Epworth Hospital, St John of God Hospital Geelong.

Felix also consults in Glen Iris and Springvale. All appointments are made through South Base Stone Consulting Rooms on (03) 9731 8700.

Felix places great importance on being able to help patients navigate worries associated with potential surgical treatment and communicates with an empathetic manner.

Dr Tracey Huntley  

BDSc  MDSc (Melb)  FRACDS (OMS)

Tracey Huntley is a qualified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon providing over 20 years of care to the Wyndham community. She completed her undergraduate and post graduate surgical training at the University of Melbourne training at The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne, The Royal Melbourne Hospital & associated teaching hospitals. She spent several years working and training in the UK and completed her Fellowship year as part of the Faculty of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Washington, Seattle.

Tracey specialises in surgical procedures such as third molar (wisdom teeth) removal, complex extractions, oral pathology & dental implants with soft & hard tissue grafting. She also has an interest in the non surgical (medical) aspects of oral disease and temporomandibular joint (jaw joint/facial pain).

Day stay procedures are performed at Wyndham Clinic Private Hospital.

She is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ANZAOMS) and the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS). 

With an approachable manner, her aim is to provide efficient, flexible & caring treatment.


A/Prof Shiva Subramaniam 

FRCS(OMS) FRCS(Eng) FRCS(Glasg) FRACDS(OMS) MBBS(Melb) BDSc(UWA) 

A/Prof Subramaniam was born and raised in Perth, WA. He completed Dentistry at the University of Western Australia and his medical degree at the University of Melbourne. Following medical school, his specialty Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical (FRACDS OMS) training was completed in Victoria, where he was awarded the prestigious Australian & New Zealand Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, gold medal for achieving the highest mark in the specialist examination. 

He then spent a further 2 years in subspecialty training in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction. During this time, he completed the UK and Ireland Specialty examination via the Royal College of Surgeons, where he was once again awarded the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Gold Medal for achieving the highest mark in the examination across the United Kingdom and Ireland, making him the only surgeon to win both the Australia/New Zealand and UK/Ireland medals. 

After working overseas for many years as an Oral, Maxillofacial and Reconstructive Surgeon, he returned home to Australia to commence public and private practice. 

He is currently working as a consultant at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Townsville University Hospital as well in private practice in Melbourne and Townsville. He is also appointed to the University of Melbourne and James Cook University in both academic and clinical roles. His scope of practice includes wisdom teeth, dentoalveolar surgery, complex dental implants (including zygomatic implants), orthognathic surgery, benign and malignant pathology of the head and neck, salivary gland disease, facial trauma, skin cancer and free tissue transfer/microvascular reconstruction of the head and neck. He is fully credentialed by the RACDS(OMS) for subspeciality practice in Head & Neck Oncology and Reconstruction. 

 

Dr Jarren Wang

BDSc, MBBS(Hons), FRACDS(OMS)

Jarren is a dual qualified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon. He obtained his dental degree at the University of Melbourne in 2008 and spent several years working in general dentistry before returning to complete his medical degree at Monash University in 2015. He subsequently commenced specialist training in 2019 in NSW and completed his training in VIC in 2023.

Jarren consults at Werribee, Glen Iris and Springvale and operates at Wyndham Clinic Private Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital Werribee, Monash House Clayton, Vermont Private Hospital and Waverley Private Hospital. Jarren has interest in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Jarren is fluent in Mandarin and places great importance in treating patients with professionalism and respect. Jarren also has a public hospital appointment as a Consultant Surgeon at Austin Health. In his free time, he loves spending time with his young kids, supporting the Boston Celtics and playing recreational tennis.
